Provatas

The beach at Provatas is easy to reach and a really nice sandy beach, albeit an unspectacular one. To some extent it lacks the geologically attractive surroundings that make many of the other beaches so appealing. The beach is quickly submerged in heavy surf since it is fairly narrow.

Provatas’ proper beach consists of only a small section, specifically the eastern section, of the bay of the same name. This connects to the beach at Agios Sostis, above which lie its church and the long-established restaurant. Further to the west there are other, rather small bays, some of which are difficult to get to.
